Hammersmith and Fulham

Seven day GP access

Patients in Hammersmith and Fulham are now able to access GP services 7 days a week, thanks to a new service launched by NHS Hammersmith and Fulham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).

The service provides an alternative to A&E for people who need access to routine care at the weekend. Patients can see a GP and it is hoped that this will help free up A&E departments for those with life threatening illnesses or injuries.

Three practices across the borough are offering the service in the evenings during the week, as well as on Saturdays and Sundays. Patients do not have to be registered with the practice, and using the service will not affect their registration with their own GP.

The practices that offer the service are:

Brook Green Medical Centre

Opening Times:
Mon – Fri: 18:30 – 20:00
Saturday: 09:00 – 15:30

Parkview Practice

Parkview Centre for Health & Wellbeing

Sunday: 09:00 – 13:00

During your practice’s opening hours, you can call your GP and book an appointment at one of these sites on weekday evenings and at the weekend. You will be able to see a GP on a weekend for routine care such as a check-up, small wound care, cervical screening, contraception advice or vaccines.

You can call NHS 111 if you need medical help fast but it’s not a 999 emergency. NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and calls are free from landlines and mobiles. If you have an Urgent Care need outside of your GP opening hours, call NHS 111 who will determine how best to manage your need.

The service has been introduced as part of NHS Hammersmith and Fulham CCG’s Out of Hospital Strategy, which aims to bring care closer to home and into a local, more familiar environment for the benefit of the patients.
